BYK’s Yoga Foundation Course is specially designed to provide the correct foundations and an overall perspective on yoga. It combines theory, practice, and philosophy to ensure that participants learn about yoga holistically.
The course is guaranteed to leave a positive impact on your body and mind, helping you go beyond into peaceful-meditative realms. You will learn about the real meaning of Yoga, its origins, the eight limbs of Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga, the unique YogaM developed by Sri M, and much more.
Through ten 90-minute sessions, we will guide you through yogic sukshma vyayamas, surya namaskara, YogaM sequence, pranayama, guided relaxation, meditation, and yoga nidra. Alongside, you will also have theory sessions to learn about Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, and Samadhi - the eight limbs of Yoga. Crucial to this is also learning about the basics of yogic anatomy - Nadis and Chakras. This course will lay a robust foundation for a lifelong yoga practice.
