BYK’s Yoga Foundation Course is specially designed to provide the correct foundations and an overall perspective on yoga. It combines theory, practice, and philosophy to ensure that participants learn about yoga holistically.
 

The course is guaranteed to leave a positive impact on your body and mind, helping you go beyond into peaceful-meditative realms. You will learn about the real meaning of Yoga, its origins, the eight limbs of Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga, the unique YogaM developed by Sri M, and much more.
 

Through ten 90-minute sessions, we will guide you through yogic sukshma vyayamas, surya namaskara, YogaM sequence, pranayama, guided relaxation, meditation, and yoga nidra. Alongside, you will also have theory sessions to learn about Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, and Samadhi - the eight limbs of Yoga. Crucial to this is also learning about the basics of yogic anatomy - Nadis and Chakras. This course will lay a robust foundation for a lifelong yoga practice.

Nikhil Varma has an extensive educational background in yoga, having completed a 900-hour Advanced Teacher Training Course (ATTC) at The Yoga Institute in Mumbai, Maharashtra, a 200-hour Teacher Training Course (TTC) at Santhi Yoga in Kerala, and a total of 200 hours in Yoga Intensive and Yoga Immersion courses at AyurYoga Eco Ashram in Mysuru, Karnataka. Nikhil's areas of expertise encompass Asana (yoga postures), Pranayam (breath control), and Philosophy. His comprehensive training enables him to offer a rich, well-rounded yoga practice that addresses the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of yoga. His teaching is primarily based on the Hatha style, incorporating dynamic flows, breath awareness, and strength-building sequences. This approach aims to enhance overall well-being, fostering a balanced and holistic yoga practice.
